Rollercoaster or Carousel?

When I was a child I loved the rides at the fair, actually to be truthful I still like the rides. When my daughter was living in Florida and working for Disney, we made several trips and I enjoyed the park as much as my kids did. The last trip to Disney World I think we went on 6 different rollercoaster.

Does your choice of rides speak for the type of person you are. Some people love to get dizzy and spin upside down and others love the simple carousel, going around and around. Which one do you prefer or think back to when you were a child. Can you remember which way you headed when you went to the fair.

rollercoasterI just wrapped up my 4th Fabulous@Experience Trade show last weekend. If you were to compare it to a carousel or a roller coaster, I would say it was a rollercoaster all the way. As much planning as I do, I can never totally predict anything, just like life or a roller coaster.

Some people complain that their lives are like a roller coaster, I think that could be a good thing in my perspective. Better than going around and around in circles...what is that saying.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. That is a carousel...crazy...

In your life what do you choice? To do the same thing over and over, knowing exactly what is going to happen or jump in the front seat of the rollercoaster and wait for that perfect drop to scream your face off with fear and excitement. What makes you feel more alive?

My life is a like a rollercoaster, the highs, the lows, being scared, being excited, sometimes overwhelmed. Is that better or worse than just doing the same thing over and over, with the same scenery. I guess that is a question you need to ask yourself. As we age, I think many of us become afraid to take risks and with that rarely have a moment of excitement. Our lives get dull and boring with nothing to look forward to.

I think it is healthy for us to try new things, learn new tasks, languages, skills and attempt something that gets the heart fluttering.

While doing the tradeshow, I am asked to do television interviews. This is not a task that I am used to or really groomed for, and it creates some fear for me and every time I get interviewed I improve.

What have you done lately that gets your blood rushing a little.  Beside running up a flight of stairs….LOL.

Fear and excitement feels exactly the same in our bodies, so choose excitement…it is much more fun.

Here are 5 things new things you may be interested in trying.
