Introducing Annie Pool - Victoria Fabulous@50 Community Director
My intention has always been to empower, educate and inspire other women within the Fabulous@50 community. Right from the beginning I knew I wanted Fabulous@50 to go to other communities, as I felt strongly that there was a need. I guess you could say it was pure vision, because I truly did not have a clue how that would happen. But, a few years ago, I let go of the fear of the unknown and started the process of licensing the Fabulous@50 brand and intellectual property.
I reached out to coaches, friends who have been involved in similar ventures, and of course lawyers, accountants, and web professionals. I worked countless hours writing and organizing, emptying my head of everything I had done over the years with Fabulous@50.
Currently, I am standing at the doorstep with my first license, Annie Pool of Victoria. Annie will bring her own skills, talents and loving heart to the Fabulous@50 community. I met Annie at an eWomen Networking meeting on one of my visits to Victoria. I knew instantly I wanted to know her better, as I saw her as someone I could become friends with. She invited me to her lovely condo and offered me a delicious smoothie. We talked about life, people and just spent time learning about each other. Not much talk of Fabulous@50 was even mentioned. But over the weeks the conversations lead to this common interest of making a difference. And now…
I am very proud to introduce you to Annie Pool of Victoria B. C.
Our first Fabulous@50 Licensee.
Like so many Baby Boomer women, Annie yielded to societal pressures to get married and have children. At a young age, she became the dutiful wife, as well as a devoted mother to her two wonderful kids.
To onlookers, her life seemed idyllic:
In her mid forties, a six-week trip to Italy with her husband woke her up. All at once she became aware of a dream stirring within. Finding herself in the middle of a full-blown midlife crisis, she wondered if she had missed her calling.
Was it too late now for her dreams to come true? Did she have enough time, money, energy, skills and training to make them possible? And what was it about her marriage that was making her feel like she was being tightly squeezed into a very small box?
Returning from Italy, she was no longer simply going through the motions of her life. Wide awake, she set out intentionally on a path that led toward her dreams, leaving behind a troubled marriage and the emotional and physical baggage that went with it. One question kept nagging her: "How was she going to make her dreams possible now that she was single and without any support?"
Step by step she walked in the dark, not knowing exactly where she was going but following her heart as she acquired the necessary training and skills that would prepare her for the life she imagined she could live.
When it appeared that she was ready to launch the tour business she had been creating with her two adult kids, she was suddenly struck with an incurable cancer diagnosis. This crisis would test her physically, emotionally and financially.
Instead of caving into fear and despair, she decided to embrace her cancer as a gift and called on all her family, friends and business colleagues to support her with positive, healing intentions for her cancer journey. An insurmountable obstacle then became the springboard that opened up the doors to her dreams in the most magical way.
In the past year Annie successfully overcome cancer, became an International Best Selling Author, and is the first official licensee for Fabulous@50. Her greatest passion is to inspire other women like herself to see their own hidden, unlocked potential so that they can believe their dreams can come true, too, even beyond their wildest imagination!
