John Mackell - Laurels on Whyte Flowers and Gifts
Floral Workshop

John Mackell

As Owner/Operator of Laurel’s on Whyte since 2012, John has brought new life into the shop and onto the avenue itself. With it’s unique collection of giftware, home decor, house plants, and of course, fresh florals, Laurel’s on Whyte has become a synthesis of John’s past & passions. Growing up on a farm in northern Alberta instilled John with a love and a knowledge of plants and gardening at a young age, as well as the ability to build or fix almost anything - an important skill for a florist! His path took him to Edmonton where he built upon his unique skill set throughout his career in retail, floral design, and customer service. Beginning his floristry career at Laurel’s on Whyte in 1996, John honed his craft and had the opportunity to learn from industry leaders throughout the country until he returned to the shop and purchased it 16 years later. In addition to his love of flowers and all things beautiful, John’s many years of vocal training have given him a passion for performing. Although his stage is now usually behind the till at his flower shop, John thrives in front of an audience and is always the life of the party. When he is not at shop or at home in Old Strathcona with his beautiful dog Georgia, he can be found at his villa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - where flowers and tequila are available year round!

3:00 Dwayne Klassen

Topic: Men In The Age Of The Empowered Women
dwayne klassenThere’s no question that we live in an unprecedented time in our history. The relationship landscape has changed dramatically. Whether you are single, dating or married you can’t help but feel a shift has occurred. Today’s men are more confused, lost and challenged as to what it means to be a man in today’s world than ever before.
Conversely, women are on fire, focused and wanting more out of life and her man. We’re in the age of the empowered woman and most guys are struggling to deliver the essence of who they are.
These two worlds are colliding. Most relationships today are unsustainable if they continue on the path they are on.
Join Dwayne Klassen for a lively, entertaining l and thought provoking talk, “Men In The Age Of The Empowered Woman” - A timely and powerful exploration of the Masculine/Feminine energy and how it’s impacting men, women and relationships today. Dwayne will take you behind the curtain and share what today’s men are thinking and feeling. You’ll enjoy learning what you can do to attract your Champion or have your man show up as The Remarkable Man you so desire.

Wayne Lee
Set Your GPS For Success

Wayne LeeThese days, if you want to get someplace fast, with no wrong turns, you just program your car’s GPS and follow the commands. You choose a destination, then take the best route to your goal.
Your brain works the exact same way: Choose where you want to go, and your subconscious takes over from there. Trouble is, your subconscious is also a storage area for habits and beliefs that either keep you on track or throw you off course. If you don’t program it for success, you’ll never reach your destination.
Wayne Lee helps you access and harness the power of your GPS for peak performance at work and at home. His presentations open the mind and melt away stress and negative interference, and reveal what’s possible when you program your GPS for success. Deeply engaging, always down-to-earth, Wayne Lee delivers life-changing content and an exhilarating, one-of-a kind experience.
You and your audience will learn how to:
• Master—and trust—your Internal Navigation System: subconscious mind
• Open your mind to the power of positive suggestions through laughter and hypnosis
• Set and accomplish any business or personal goal
• Remove the 3 negative words that inhibit your success

If you feel you have what it takes to be a speaker at the next Fabulous@50 Experience, please contact us to discuss this fabulous opportunity.
